IRMO, S.C. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers opens Tuesday, July 17, at 10611 Broad River Rd. in Irmo. The new restaurant joins two other Freddy’s locations at 2879 Sunset Blvd. in West Columbia and 457 Killian Rd. in Columbia.
“The surrounding residential neighborhoods around Lake Murray make the location a great fit for Freddy’s,” said Brett Rickert, franchise owner. “Once you’ve had a chance to try our cooked-to-order menu of steakburgers and Vienna Beef hot dogs, we hope Guests in Irmo will keep Freddy’s top-of-mind for family dinners and drive-thru convenience.”
The 3,010 square-foot, freestanding restaurant seats 96 Guests and has additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Hours of operation are 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Freddy’s is known for its lean ground beef steakburgers, Vienna® Beef hot dogs and crispy shoestring fries, as well as frozen custard treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is freshly churned throughout the day in each restaurant.
“Many of our Guests are interested to learn that frozen custard is denser, richer and creamier than ice cream, due to a churning process that eliminates ice crystals and excess air,” said Rickert. “We churn it fresh on-site several times throughout the day. The Signature Turtle Sundae is a fan favorite that combines hot fudge and hot caramel atop vanilla custard with salted pecans and, of course, whipped cream and a cherry.”
