MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) –
Mid-Southerners may soon be able to experience the steakburgers and delights of a national fast-food chain.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is setting its sights on Memphis.
The food chain is looking at a parcel on Germantown Parkway for its location.
“A formal development timeline has not yet been established for the Freddy’s proposed for 825 N. Germantown Parkway,” Tim Heeren, franchise operator for Freddy’s, said. “But we’re currently working through permitting and hope to make our Memphis debut next year. Our purposed plans include demolition of the current building.”
A building permit for the project was submitted Sept. 30 for “construction of new Freddy’s restaurant” at the North Germantown Parkway address. The permit was valued at $200,000.
