CONCORD, N.C. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers recently broke ground on Concord Parkway N. across from Carolinas Medical Center Northeast. The new restaurant is slated to open this summer and is the second Concord site for the better-burger restaurant concept, which made its area debut in 2015 across from Concord Mills.
“Many of our guests have inquired about plans for a second Freddy’s location in the Charlotte area,” said Dave Dreiling, franchise owner. “It’s fun to announce that construction officially kicked off on Tuesday. We’re hoping to open this summer.”
The 3,500 square-foot, freestanding restaurant will seat 112 guests and will have additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service will also be available. Freddy’s is famous for its signature lean ground beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh throughout the day.
“There are many enjoyable aspects of dining at Freddy’s, but our guests really seem to love our open-kitchen concept,” said Dreiling. “You can watch us smash, sear, season and add toppings to your burger, and if you time your visit just right, you can watch the custard being churned fresh right out of the machine. It’s a neat experience.”
