COPPERAS COVE, Texas (KWTX) Residents and employees of the Copperas Cove Nursing & Rehabilitation Center got a special treat Thursday from Freddy’s Frozen Custard on Clear Creek.
One of the facility’ employees entered a contest and won a sundae bar for the center.
The contest was held by the southwest region of the food chain, but the Central Texas general manager said the prize would be honored here.
Christy Weeks who works at the center was thrilled when Freddy’s general manager gave her the news because it wasn’t this area’s contest.
“Some of them may not even have families that are very interactive in their life and so for somebody to be gracious enough to think enough of them to say, ‘hey I’m going to come in and set up a sundae bar for you and all of your peers’ that’s definitely a booster for them,” Weeks said.
Along with the sundae bar the women at the home were treated to makeovers from Crawford Bowers Funeral home.
