Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers just opened its first Northwest Georgia location in Cartersville at 120 E. Main St. in front of the new Kroger Marketplace store. The chain has more than 150 locations coast-to-coast bringing their signature frozen custard and steakburgers to hungry customers. They are known for “The Freddy Way” which promotes ‘enjoying great food without a long wait’.

So, during a recent trip to Cartersville, we decided to put Freddy’s to test to see how their food, custard and wait stacked up. The restaurant itself was very easy to find and access right off Main Street. It opened just over a month ago and, as you would expect, is very new and clean.

The décor is fun, reminiscent of an old ’50s diner. They even played ’50s and ’60s classics on the radio overhead. Throughout the restaurant, you will see old photos of the restaurant’s namesakeFreddy Simon. According to the company’s website, brothers Bill and Randy Simon, along with business partner Scott Redler, founded the restaurant in 2002 and named it after Bill and Randy’s father.
