BATON ROUGE, La. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers recently broke ground at 13636 Millerville Rd across from Super Target. The new restaurant is slated to open in early spring and marks a second area location for the fast-casual concept, which made its Baton Rouge debut earlier this year at 6464 Siegen Ln.
“We’re grateful for the support of our local fans and it’s neat to hear they’re just as excited as we are about a second location,” said Nick Esterline, franchise owner. “The new Millerville Road site is like our restaurant on Siegen Lane in that it’s a popular shopping area largely supported by the surrounding family-friendly neighborhoods. It’s a prime parcel and a great next stop for Freddy’s.”
Developed by TGC Development Group and operated by JRI Management, the 3,010 square-foot, free-standing location will seat 100 guests, and will have additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service will also be available. Menu items include lean ground-beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh several times throughout the day.
“Our first-time guests frequently ask about the term ‘steakburger,’” said Jason Ingermanson, franchise operator. “Every Freddy’s steakburger starts with premium lean ground beef that we press thin, sprinkle with our famous seasoning and sear on a flat-top grill until the edges are deliciously crispy, almost lace-like in appearance. It makes for a great burger.”
