ANDERSON, S.C. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers recently broke ground at 1702 Greenville St. across from QuikTrip. The fast-casual restaurant is slated to open in the spring and joins another area location at 4845 Calhoun Memorial Hwy. in Easley.
“Greenville Street is a popular retail corridor due to the steady flow of traffic through the area,” said Jason Ingermanson, franchise operator. “This, coupled with the surrounding residential neighborhoods, makes the location a great match for Freddy’s. We hope the community will enjoy our family-friendly dining experience and atmosphere with all of their family and friends.”
Developed by TGC Development Group based in Wichita, Kan., and operated by JRI Management based in Salina, Kan., the 2,600 square-foot, free-standing restaurant will seat 86 guests and will have additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service will also be available. Freddy’s is known for its lean ground-beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh several times throughout the day.
“Our frozen custard is richer, denser and creamier than traditional ice cream due to a churning process that eliminates excess air and ice crystals, producing a smoother product,” said Ingermanson. “You have a choice of over 30 mix-ins, including traditional toppings, candy bites and several different nut and fruit options. The custard combinations are endless.”
