Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers is opening a restaurant at 2322 Battleground Ave. in Greensboro, according to the Greensboro News & Record .

The 3,519 square-foot, freestanding location, on a site formerly occupied by Burger King, will seat 100 guests with additional seating on a patio. Drive-thru service will be available.

“Our open-kitchen concept allows guests to watch how their meal is cooked,” said Dave Dreiling, franchise owner. “The menu items don’t hit the grill until after we’ve placed the order to ensure we serve a meal that’s fresh and hot, and the frozen custard is churned several times throughout the day so it’s creamy and refreshing.”

Freddy’s is known for lean ground beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs, crispy shoestring fries, as well as an assortment of dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard.
