REXBURG, Idaho – A new Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers opens on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 42 N. Second E. near Brigham Young University-Idaho in Rexburg. It marks a third eastern-Idaho location for the fast-casual concept, which has restaurants in Idaho Falls and Chubbuck.
“Our restaurant atmosphere hints at retro, reminiscent of the late 1940s and 50s,” said Brad Williams, franchise owner. “That era is the foundation of our concept, but we mix in modern day conveniences like digital menu boards to create a dining experience that’s timeless and comfortable for guests of all ages.”
The 3,450 square-foot, freestanding location seats 100 guests and has additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., and closed on Sundays. Freddy’s is known for its lean ground beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and crispy shoestring fries, as well as an assortment of dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh throughout each day.
“You’ll want to try our signature fry sauce,” said Williams. “It adds a tangy twist to our crispy shoestring fries, although our guests have found it’s good with all of our sides, burgers and hot dogs. You can also purchase an 18-ounce bottle to take home with you.”
