OTTAWA, Kan. – Retro-style restaurant franchise, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, will bring its thinly-pressed steakburgers and creamy frozen custard to Ottawa on Tuesday, May 10, at 2121 S. Princeton, near Walmart. The new restaurant will open for business at 10:30 a.m.
“We chose to locate in Ottawa partly because of the community’s focus on family,” said Paul Hoover, franchise owner. “It aligns well with our family-friendly concept. The local support we’ve received since announcing our area debut has been phenomenal. We’re excited to be here and we look forward to serving this great community.”
The 3,400 square-foot, free-standing restaurant seats 100 guests, with additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Menu items include steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as an assortment of dessert treats prepared with a choice of freshly-churned chocolate or vanilla frozen custard. Restaurant hours are Sunday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
“From steakburgers and hot dogs to chicken tenders and even a veggie burger, Freddy’s strives to offer menu items guests of all ages will enjoy,” said Hoover. “To craft our famous steakburgers, we press the patties thin to create deliciously crispy edges. A guest favorite is the Original Double, which comes with two lean ground beef patties, two slices of melting cheese and a few fresh toppings, all on a toasted bun. If you’re a first-time guest of Freddy’s, we recommend the Original Double.”
