ROBERT, Mo. – Fast-casual restaurant franchise Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers opens in St. Robert on Monday, Dec. 5, at 180 Old Rte. 66. Signature menu items for the retro-style restaurant concept include lean ground beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and crispy shoestring fries, as well as a large assortment of dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh throughout each day.
“Freddy Simon, our namesake and co-founder, is a 91-year-old World War II veteran,” said Eric Cole, franchise owner. “The walls of the restaurant are full of captioned, black-and-white photos of his childhood, time in the service, and post-war family life. We’re honored to serve those who served and we look forward to hosting military members stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood and their families.”
The 3,543 square-foot, freestanding location seats 100 guests, and has additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
“After finishing a meal, an order of frozen custard is the perfect way to complete your Freddy’s experience,” said Cole. “You can’t go wrong with the Signature Turtle Sundae. It’s made with our creamy vanilla custard and topped with hot fudge, hot caramel, toasted pecans, whipped cream and a cherry.”
