MIDWEST CITY, Okla. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers will make its Midwest City debut on Thursday, Sept. 22, at 2824 S. Douglas Blvd. The fast-casual restaurant concept is known for its lean ground beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard.

“We hope to become a go-to lunch and dinner place for residents of surrounding neighborhoods, and individuals and families who live and work on base,” said Bob Rasberry, franchise owner. “Our co-founder and namesake, Freddy Simon, now 91, is a World War II veteran, and the Freddy’s restaurants celebrate optimism, patriotism and the upbeat values of this great country.”

The 3,000 square-foot franchise restaurant will seat 100 guests with additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.

“This new location is very exciting for us and our team has worked hard to prepare for opening day,” said Rasberry. “We’ve also made some menu updates at all of our area locations, including fried pickles as a side option or appetizer, and a jalapeño version of our signature fry sauce. We hope you’ll stop in for a taste.”
