GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers opens its first Grand Junction location on Tuesday, March 21, at 739 Horizon Drive. The fast-casual restaurant concept is known for its lean ground beef steakburgers, Vienna beef hot dogs and crispy shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh throughout the day.

“The Horizon Drive retail corridor is a prime spot because of its easy access to and from I-70,” said David Giesen, franchise owner. “We hope to be a staple for area residents, guests of nearby hotels, and those traveling to and from Grand Junction Regional Airport.”

The 2,968 square-foot, freestanding location seats 84 guests and has additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Freddy’s has a second Grand Junction location currently under construction across town at 2489 Highway 6 that is expected to open in April.

“First-time guests often ask, ‘What makes a Freddy’s steakburger special?’,” said Giesen. “Every burger is cooked to order. We start with premium lean ground beef, sprinkle on our famous seasoning, press the patty thin, and sear on a flat-top grill until the edges are deliciously crispy. We regularly recommend the Original Double, which comes standard with two patties, two slices of cheese, mustard, onion slices and pickle planks.”
