TEMPLE, Texas – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers opens its second area location on Thursday, Sept. 28, at 2006 S. 31st St. near Scott & White Medical Center. The fast-casual restaurant concept made its debut in Temple early last year at 7036 W. Adams Ave.

“We’ve truly enjoyed being a part of the Temple community—serving fantastic food and custard and also hosting fundraising nights for local schools and other non-profit organizations,” said Keith Alter, franchise owner. “We’re excited to bring the community a second Temple location, and we feel like the SW HK Dodgen Loop area is a great fit for us. The family-friendly atmosphere of our restaurants makes us a great place for guests looking to celebrate a birthday or get together after a game. Our team will do everything they can to ensure you enjoy your experience at Freddy’s.”

The 3,554 square-foot, freestanding restaurant seats 114 guests and has additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Freddy’s is known for its menu of lean ground-beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh throughout the day.

“Freddy’s is growing around the country,” said Alter. “Whether it’s a location in Texas, or in another part of the country, we strive to provide out guests with exceptional hospitality and mouth-watering food.”
