FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers recently began construction along Jefferson Davis Highway south of Cowan Blvd. The fast-casual restaurant franchise is slated to open early next year and joins another area location at 28 S. Gateway Dr. in Carter’s Crossing.
“We’re grateful to be part of the restaurant and retail development that is taking place at this corner,” said Beverly Redler, franchise owner. “We take pride in being a part of the community and being a good neighbor to the residents and businesses in the neighborhood. We hope to be a convenient dining option for families visiting the Children’s Museum just up the road and the students at University of Mary Washington.”
The 3,500 square-foot, free-standing restaurant will seat 100 guests and will have additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service will also be available through two lanes for added convenience. Freddy’s is known for its lean ground-beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh several times throughout the day.
“We’ve been gratified by the warm reception we’ve enjoyed with our guests in the Fredericksburg area,” said Redler. “Our hope is to continue growing in Virginia over the next few years. Guests can always count on the fact that, no matter which Freddy’s location they visit, our team members are prepared to serve them with the same friendly service and great taste that they’ve come to love.”
