Shawnee’s Marketplace is breaking ground for a Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — a fast-casual restaurant franchise.
With restaurants scattered through most of the U.S., 23 are in Oklahoma.
“With site work now underway on the strip center [near] the corner of N. Kickapoo Avenue and W. 45th Street, Freddy’s hopes to begin finishout on its portion of the center by late winter and currently projects a target opening date of early summer,” Bob Rasberry, franchise owner, said Monday.
Menu items include lean ground beef steakbugers, shoestring fries, Vienna Beef hot dogs and dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh throughout the day.
