FRANKLIN, Ind. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers recently broke ground on the northwest corner of Simon Road and US 31. Slated for a late summer opening, the fast-casual restaurant will be located in front of the new Meijer store that opened earlier this month.
“The US 31 retail corridor is thriving with commercial business in northern Franklin,” said Duncan Savage, operating partner. “The nearby family-oriented neighborhoods make this location a great match for our family-friendly concept. We’ll be a convenient dining option for those shopping at Meijer, as well as those hungry students on their way home from Franklin Community High School.”
The 3,200 square-foot, free-standing restaurant will seat 98 guests and will have additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service will also be available. The fast-casual restaurant concept is slated to open in the summer, and serves a menu of lean ground-beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh throughout the day.
“While there are many enjoyable dining aspects at Freddy’s, our guests really seem to appreciate our open-kitchen concept,” said Savage. “We invite you to peek in and watch as we produce a burger from beginning to end, and if you time your visit just right, you can watch our custard being freshly churned right out of the machine. It’s a fun experience.”
