BRISTOL, Va.– Fast-casual restaurant franchise, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, started construction on Oct. 3 at 270 Falls Blvd. near Cabela’s in Bristol. Slated to open in December, it will mark the third Tri-Cities site for the retro-style burger concept, which also has locations in Kingsport and Johnson City.
“Guests of Freddy’s can expect to receive genuine hospitality and quality service in a relaxed, family-friendly environment,” said Bob Rasberry, franchise owner. “Our menu items are cooked to order, and we strive to serve each meal within just a few minutes.”
Local contractor J.A. Street and Associates will build the 3,360 square-foot, end-cap location. It will seat 100 guests, with additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service will also be available. Menu items include lean ground beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and crispy shoestring fries, as well as an assortment of dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard freshly churned throughout each day.
