KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers opens its newest location in the Kansas City metro area on Tuesday, March 21, at 8071 NW Roanridge Road. It marks a third Northland site for the Wichita-based restaurant concept, and is located adjacent to AMC BarryWoods 24 in the Edgewood Farms development.
“Edgewood Farms is an up-and-coming development that’s home to a wide variety of retail, restaurants and residential areas,” said Randy Simon, CFO and Co-Founder. “It’s a prime location where Freddy’s can be a convenient dining option for commuters along I-29, and friends and families on their way to and from the movie theatre or Main Event Entertainment, which is set to open in May.”
The 3,476 square-foot, freestanding location seats 110 guests and has additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Freddy’s is known for its signature lean ground beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh throughout the day.
The fast-casual restaurant concept plans to continue its Kansas City metro market expansion. A site in Raytown is currently under construction and is slated to open later this spring. The Legends is also expected to receive a Freddy’s this year, although a formal development timeline has not yet been set.
