BATON ROUGE, La. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers opens its second area location on Sunday, March 26, at 13636 Millerville Rd. in the Greens at Millerville development across from Super Target. The Baton Rouge Area Chamber plans to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 27. Representatives from the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge will be in attendance. The local nonprofit organization will receive 10 percent of sales from all regular and large size frozen custard treats sold through April 24.
“The Millerville Road retail corridor is a great fit for our second area location,” said Nick Esterline, franchise owner. “It’s easily accessible for commuters along I-12, and the surrounding neighborhoods create a strong, local consumer base. We look forward to serving the area.”
The 3,010 square-foot, freestanding location is developed by TGC Development Group based in Wichita, Kan., and is operated by JRI Management based in Salina, Kan. It seats 100 guests and has additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Freddy’s is known for its lean ground-beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and crispy shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh throughout the day.
“Freddy’s family-friendly atmosphere makes it a great dining choice for every day, but also for guests who’re looking for a convenient place to gather before or after sports games, or for birthdays and other celebrations,” said Jason Ingermanson, franchise operator. “Our team will help you scoot the tables together and will do everything they can to make sure you have an enjoyable dining experience.”
