CENTERVILLE, Ohio – Construction started Monday at 5501 Wilmington Pike on what will soon be a Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers. Slated to open midsummer, the fast-casual restaurant’s menu includes lean ground beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as an assortment of dessert treats prepared with a choice of freshly-churned chocolate or vanilla frozen custard.
“Freddy’s brings to life the America of the late 1940s and early 1950s, a post-war era of optimism, pride and values focusing on unity and quality family time,” said Matt Saunders, head of development for PSP Foods, LLC., a franchisee of Freddy’s. “We feel our concept is a great fit for the Wilmington Pike and E. Whipp Road retail corridor and we look forward to joining the neighborhood.”
The 3,200-square-foot location will seat 100 guests with additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service will also be available. PSP Foods, LLC., currently owns and operates the Freddy’s restaurant in Amelia at 3792 Waterford Pkwy., and in Milford at 907 State Route 28. In addition to the Centerville location, the company has Freddy’s restaurants under construction in West Chester at 7615 Trail Side Dr., and in Cincinnati at 3903 Red Bank Rd., as well as 9301 Winton Rd.
“We couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome,” said Saunders. “It is the support of our loyal guests that fuels our area expansion and we hope to continue making Freddy’s a convenient dining option for the Dayton and Cincinnati metro markets, and, eventually, Columbus.”
