HOOVER, Ala. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers recently broke ground at 5537 Grove Blvd. in the Grove Shopping Center. The fast-casual restaurant is slated to open in the spring and joins another Birmingham metro location at 301 Doug Baker Blvd.
“The Grove retail corridor is quickly growing, and we look forward to being part of the new development in the area,” said Brian Pyle, franchise operator. “The proximity to I-459 makes us a convenient dining option for guests traveling along the highway, as well as for guests looking for a quick bite to eat after enjoying a day of shopping.”
The 3,622 square-foot, free-standing restaurant will seat 100 guests. Drive-thru service will also be available. Freddy’s is known for its lean ground-beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh several times throughout the day.
“Our atmosphere hints at retro, but our restaurant is a great fit for all generations,” said Pyle. “We play a wide variety of music, from classic hits to today’s Top 40 mix. It makes for a fun, friendly and relaxing atmosphere that is comfortable and inviting for guests of all ages.”
