TEMPLE, Texas –Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers recently broke ground on the southwest corner of 31st Street and W. Avenue T, across from Scott & White Medical Center. Slated for a late summer opening, it is the second Temple site for the fast-casual restaurant franchise, following a location at 7036 W Adams Ave. that opened early last year.

“We’ve had many inquiries about plans for a second Temple area restaurant, and we’re excited to officially announce the start of construction,” said Keith Alter, franchise owner. “We look forward to being a convenient dining option for families visiting the Medical Center. The restaurant’s proximity to SW HK Dodgen Loop makes Freddy’s a quick trip for Temple residents from all areas of the city.”

The 3,554 square-foot, free-standing restaurant will seat 114 guests and will have additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service will also be available. Freddy’s serves a menu of lean ground-beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh throughout the day.

“Many guests mention how much they love our food, especially the Freddy’s Original Double combo meal and freshly churned frozen custard,” said Alter. “But what really wins them over is our genuine hospitality. Whether you dine-in, carry-out or visit the drive-thru, you’ll experience sincere and friendly service.”
