COLLINSVILLE, Ill. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers recently broke ground at 301 N. Bluff in front of Home Depot. The fast-casual restaurant franchise is slated to open early next year, joining another eastern St. Louis metro location at 3220 Green Mount Crossing Dr. in Shiloh.
“Making Freddy’s an accessible dining option for guests in eastern St. Louis continues to be a priority,” said Randy Simon, co-founder and CFO. “The surrounding family-friendly neighborhoods and close proximity to I-70 makes this a great next stop for our retro-style concept. We hope to be a convenient dining options for those traveling along the interstate as well as families looking for a quick bite to eat on their way home from school, Splash City or the Collinsville Sports Complex.”
The 2,590 square-foot, free-standing restaurant will seat 80 guests and will have additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service will also be available. Freddy’s is known for its lean ground-beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh several times throughout the day.
“We’ve genuinely enjoyed getting to know guests in Shiloh and at our franchise locations in Cottleville and St. Peters on the other side of the river,” said Simon. “Our restaurant presence in the St. Louis metro market is steadily increasing and we look forward to continuing our growth over the next few years.”
