Fast-casual restaurant franchise, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, recently broke ground at 10927 New Haven Road on a location slated to open early next year.
Menu items include lean ground beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as desserts prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is freshly churned several times throughout the day.
“Since we opened our first Ohio location last year, support from area guests has been phenomenal,” said Matt Saunders, head of development for PSP Foods, LLC, a franchisee of Freddy’s.
“Our hope is to be a convenient dining option for those in the Harrison community, as well as those traveling along Interstate 74. We look forward to joining the area.”
The 3,200 square-foot, free-standing location will seat 100 guests, with additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service also will be available.
“We are a better burger restaurant-concept,” said Saunders. “Enjoying great food fast doesn’t mean your meal is sitting in a warming drawer or near a heat lamp.
Our food is fresh, prepared minutes after you place your order. It’s this along with our genuine hospitality and quality service that creates an exceptional dining experience for everyone.”
Co-founded in 2002 by Scott Redler and Bill, Randy and Freddy Simon, Freddy’s opened its first location in Wichita, Kan. Today, 217 Freddy’s restaurants serve 30 states. This year Freddy’s has been named for the third consecutive year as one of the top 10 on Franchise Times magazine’s Fast & Serious list.
In 2015, Freddy’s was named one of the five fastest-growing chains by Nation’s Restaurant News for the second consecutive year, and was identified as one of eight “Better ‘Better Burger’ offerings” by Bloomberg Businessweek.
