OPELIKA, Ala. – Fast-casual restaurant franchise Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers recently broke ground at 1701 Capps Landing near Tiger 13 Opelika, and is slated to open in early spring. Menu items include lean ground-beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh several times throughout the day.
“The I-85 and Gateway Drive retail district is a high-traffic, family-friendly area—a prime selling point for developers looking to bring new business to the area,” said Nick Esterline, franchise owner. “We feel it’s a great fit for Freddy’s.”
Developed by TGC Development Group and operated by JRI Management, the 3,010 square-foot, free-standing location will seat 100 guests, and will have additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service will also be available.
“Freddy’s is a ‘better burger’ restaurant,” said Jason Ingermanson, franchise operator. “We use premium ingredients, menu items are cooked to order, and we strive to offer a higher level of service than what you might typically receive in a quick-service restaurant setting. These extra-effort initiatives combine to create an efficient, yet enjoyable, dining experience at Freddy’s for guests of all ages.”
