OZARK, Mo. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers recently began its construction remodel of the former Chappy’s Deli at 1915 W. Marler Ln. in front of Walmart. The fast-casual restaurant franchise, which has two locations in southern Springfield and one under construction in northern Springfield, plans to make its Ozark debut this spring.
“Freddy’s appeals to guests of all ages,” said Tim Rheem, franchise operator. “That’s why we feel Ozark is a great fit; the demography is diverse and we’re confident the community will enjoy a family-friendly concept like Freddy’s.”
The 3,000 square-foot, free-standing restaurant will seat 95 guests, and will have additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service will also be available. Menu items will include the Freddy’s signature lean ground-beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is freshly churned several times throughout the day.
“We have many regulars at our existing restaurants in the Springfield area,” said Rheem. “With each visit, our team members become familiar with the guests and their stories, and make an effort to remember the guests’ favorite menu items. That’s what sets Freddy’s apart; it’s a fun, quality and personal—if you want it to be—dining experience.”
