DAWSONVILLE, Ga. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers recently broke ground at 1213 US-19 N., in front of Publix in Dawson Crossroads. The fast-casual restaurant franchise is slated to open in the spring and is the latest in a string of Freddy’s locations to open in and around the Atlanta area over the last two years.
“Commercial business has expanded quickly along Highway 19 with the development of Dawson Crossroads and Dawson Marketplace; it’s a thriving retail corridor,” said Nick Esterline, franchise owner. “The City of Dawsonville is a great fit for Freddy’s and we feel area residents will enjoy our family-friendly dining experience and atmosphere that also lends a hint of nostalgia.”
The 3,010 square-foot, free-standing restaurant is developed by TGC Development Group and will be operated by JRI Management. It will seat 99 guests and will have additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service will also be available. Freddy’s is known for its lean ground-beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh several times throughout the day.
“Our restaurant concept appeals to guests of all ages,” said Esterline. “Kids and adults alike enjoy dining at Freddy’s, and some even make it a weekly tradition. Whether it’s a kids meal and mini Dirt n’ Worms concrete for our younger guests, or a steakburger combo meal and large Turtle Sundae that mom and dad can enjoy together, Freddy’s offers something satisfying for the entire family.”
