CORDOVA, Tenn. – Fast-casual restaurant franchise, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, opens on Tuesday, May 23, at 825 N. Germantown Pkwy. near Gameday Baseball Park. The opening marks a first Memphis-area location for the retro-style concept. A second Memphis metro market site for Freddy’s recently started construction in Olive Branch, Miss.

“Our team works hard to provide a comfortable environment in the restaurant by focusing on cleanliness and quality service,” said Tim Heeren, franchise operator. “They strive to check up on each guest to make sure everyone is enjoying their time, and meal, at Freddy’s.”

The 3,010 square-foot, freestanding restaurant seats 100 guests and has additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. The retro-style concept is known for its lean ground beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and crispy shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh throughout the day.

“It’s hard to leave Freddy’s before you try some of the frozen custard we craft through a special churning process that eliminates excess air and ice crystals,” said Heeren. “It creates a denser, richer, and creamier product than traditional ice cream. The Signature Turtle Sundae is a popular choice, or you can choose to create your own custard treat and add any of our 30 toppings and mix-ins.”
