Baytown, Texas – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers will open its first eastern Houston metro market location on Tuesday, June 14, at 10520 Interstate 10 E., in the Chambers Town Center, in Baytown. It will be the eighth Freddy’s for Metro Houston. The chain has locations in Copperfield, Katy, Magnolia, northwest Houston near FM 1960 & Eldridge Parkway, Richmond and Spring.

“Our signature Freddy’s Original Double starts with two premium patties of lean ground beef we press thin and sear on the grill,” said Padden Nelson, franchise owner. “The patties are topped with our famous Freddy’s seasoning, two slices of melting American cheese and a few fresh toppings, all on a toasted bun. This is the number-one-selling sandwich we recommend for first-time guests.”

The 3,500-sq.-foot, free-standing location will seat 100 guests, with additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Menu items include steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of freshly-churned chocolate or vanilla frozen custard. Freddy’s recently debuted fried pickles as a seasonal menu offering. The pickles were such a success they were recently made a permanent item.

“We’re excited to announce Fried Pickles are here to stay and our new Baytown location will have them available for purchase,” said Nelson. “You can order the pickles in place of or in addition to shoestring fries, or, if you want a larger portion, feel free to order the appetizer size. It’s great for sharing with family and friends.”
