Shiloh, Ill. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers will open its first eastern St. Louis metro market location on Tuesday, June 14, at 10:30 a.m. at 3320 Green Mount Crossing Dr., near Target. Ninety-one-year-old restaurant cofounder and World War II veteran, Freddy Simon, plans to attend the opening and will be onsite from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

“You’ll never meet a more genuine individual,” said Scott Redler, COO. “At 91, Freddy still loves to travel the country and make surprise visits to as many of the Freddy’s restaurants as he can. If you’re in the Shiloh area on Tuesday during the lunch or dinner hour, I encourage you to stop by and meet him; you won’t regret it.”

The 3,170-square-foot, free-standing location will seat 100 guests, with additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Menu items include lean, ground beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of freshly-churned chocolate or vanilla frozen custard. Other St. Louis metro market locations for Freddy’s include Cottleville at 6031 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., and St. Peters at 1365 Jungerman Rd.

“Enjoying great food without a long wait doesn’t mean your meal has to be cooked before you order it,” said Redler. “We cook everything fresh and serve it within minutes. When our guests take a bite of their burger, the fresh-cooked goodness can be seen steaming off the delicious bite. We frequently hear it’s why they enjoy coming to eat at Freddy’s.”
