YUMA, Ariz. – Fast-casual restaurant franchise, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakbugers, makes its Yuma debut on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 1785 E. 16th Street, across from Yuma Palms Regional Center. Menu items include lean ground beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla custard that is churned fresh several times throughout the day.

“Our ground beef patties are pressed thin on a flat-top grill,” said Craig Newman, franchise operator. “We top each patty with our famous steakburger and fry seasoning, and sear until the edges are deliciously crispy. We’ll prepare your burger any way you’d like, but a guest favorite is the Freddy’s Original Double, also known as the #1.”

The 3,010 square-foot, free-standing restaurant seats 100 guests, and has additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Freddy’s is open 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

“Many of our guests are pleasantly surprised when they learn frozen custard is richer and creamier than ice cream,” said Newman. “We use a special churning process that creates a smoother product by eliminating excess air and the formation of ice crystals.”
