MORRISTOWN, Tenn. – Fast-casual restaurant franchise, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, opens on Tuesday, August 1, in Morristown at the intersection of Andrew Johnson Highway and Merchants Greene near Walmart. The opening marks a fourth Freddy’s location for Tennessee.

“The steady flow of traffic through the area on Andrew Johnson Highway makes it a great fit for Freddy’s,” said Bob Rasberry, franchise owner. “Once you’ve had a chance to try our cooked-to-order menu of steakburgers and Vienna Beef hot dogs, we hope guests in Morristown will keep Freddy’s top-of-mind for family dinners and drive-thru convenience.”

The 3,360 square-foot, end-cap location seats 110 guests and has additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Freddy’s is known for its signature lean ground beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and crispy shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh throughout each day.

“Many of our guests are interested to learn that frozen custard is denser, richer and creamier than ice cream, due to a churning process that eliminates ice crystals and excess air,” said Rasberry. “We churn it fresh onsite several times throughout the day. The Signature Turtle Sundae is a fan favorite that combines hot fudge and hot caramel atop vanilla custard with salted pecans and, of course, whipped cream and a cherry.”
