DURHAM, N.C. – Fast-casual restaurant concept, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, opens its second Durham location on Thursday, Feb. 22, at 3812 N Roxboro St near Duke Regional Hospital. The opening joins Freddy’s first Durham location at Patterson Place.
“The feedback we’ve received at our first restaurant has been very positive, so we’re thrilled to expand in Durham and give residents in the community another convenient location to visit,” said Dave Dreiling, franchise owner. “With the opening of a second area Freddy’s, we’re prepared to serve guests with the same friendly service and great taste they’ve come to love at our Patterson Place location.”
The 3,500 square-foot, freestanding restaurant seats 114 guests and has additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Freddy’s is known for its lean ground-beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and crispy shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh several times throughout the day in each restaurant.
“Many of our guests are interested to learn that frozen custard is denser, richer and creamier than ice cream, due to a churning process that eliminates ice crystals and excess air,” said Dreiling. “We churn it fresh onsite several times throughout the day. You have a choice of over 30 mix-ins, including traditional toppings, candy bites and several different nut and fruit options. The custard combinations are endless.”
