FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Fast-casual restaurant concept, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, opens its second location in the Fredericksburg metro area on Sunday, Jan. 21, at 1611 Jefferson Davis Hwy. A ribbon-cutting ceremony with Fredericksburg Regional Chamber is planned for 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 22. Freddy’s made its area debut when it opened in November 2015 at 28 S. Gateway Dr. in Carter’s Crossing.

“We’ve gotten to know guests from the Fredericksburg area at our Stafford location over the last two years, and we’re excited to bring our family-friendly concept to the City of Fredericksburg,” said Beverly Redler, franchise owner. “Our focus is on genuine hospitality and fast, friendly service—that, and our easy accessibility from Rt 1, Rt 3 and Cowan Boulevard, makes us a perfect choice for lunch or dinner for those who live, work and attend school in the area.”

The 3,500 square-foot, freestanding restaurant seats 100 guests and has additional seating on the covered patio. Drive-thru service is also available through two lanes for added convenience. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Freddy’s is known for its lean ground-beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and crispy shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh several times throughout the day.

“As a local Freddy’s restaurant, we are all about supporting the community in which we serve,” said Redler. “Through Feb. 20, local nonprofit Fairy Godmother Project will receive 10 percent of all sales from regular and large size frozen custard treats at our new restaurant.”
