JACKSONVILLE, N.C. – Fast-casual restaurant concept, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, opens on Thursday, Dec. 7, at 4133 Western Blvd. in front of Academy Sports. Freddy’s is known for its menu items of lean ground-beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and crispy shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh several times throughout the day.

“Freddy’s is a better burger restaurant concept,” said Dave Dreiling, franchise owner. “We use premium ingredients and your food is always cooked-to-order, served hot and fresh within minutes. When you walk in, you can expect a warm greeting, and you’ll experience genuine hospitality we call the ‘Freddy’s Way.’”

The 3,500 square-foot, freestanding restaurant seats 114 guests and has additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.

“For our first-time guests, we like to recommend the Original Double combo meal,” said Dreiling. “The burger comes with two steakburger patties pressed thin on a flat top grill and sprinkled with our famous seasoning. It’s then topped with two slices of cheese, mustard, pickle planks and onion slices on a toasted bun, and served with a heaping portion of our shoestring fries and a drink.”
