WICHITA, Kan. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers® opens Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 3450 S. Meridian Ave. across from the South YMCA. The opening marks a fifth location for Freddy’s in Wichita. The fast-casual restaurant concept also opened its first college location at Wichita State University’s Rhatigan Student Center in August. Freddy’s is known for its cooked-to-order steakburgers made with lean 100 percent ground beef, Vienna® Beef hot dogs, crispy shoestring fries and frozen custard treats made with freshly churned chocolate or vanilla frozen custard.
“We’re excited to enter this dynamic neighborhood and bring craveable food to the surrounding businesses and residents,” said Randy Simon, President & CEO, Co-Founder. “Having direct access from the South YMCA parking lot will allow many of our Guests and their families to enjoy a great meal experience without the travel.”
The 3,095 square-foot, freestanding restaurant seats 108 Guests and has additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Hours of operation are 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
“We’re grateful to Guests who make Freddy’s part of their family traditions,” said Scott Redler, COO and Co-Founder. “We are honored when we’re the top pick for a birthday dinner or sporting team celebrations after a game.”
