FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Fast-casual restaurant franchise, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, will open in Stafford County at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 15, at 28 South Gateway Dr., near Target. It is the second Virginia location for the restaurant concept, which opened a Fairfax location in 2013 at 10030 Fairfax Boulevard.

“We chose this site in Fredericksburg, because it’s so easily accessible off I-95, right at exit 133B at Route 17/Warrenton Road. It also has surrounding residential areas that are very family-oriented,” said Beverly Redler, franchise owner. “We feel the area is a great fit for the family-friendly atmosphere Freddy’s provides and we are excited to join the community.”

The 3,200 square-foot, end-cap franchise location seats 100 guests, with additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is available. Menu items include lean beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs, shoestring fries, and other items, as well as an assortment of dessert treats prepared with a choice of freshly churned chocolate or vanilla frozen custard. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. The restaurant is open until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

“If you’ve never tasted a Freddy’s steakburger, you’ll be amazed at how the seasoned, lean premium beef tastes,” said Redler. “We press it thin to create deliciously crispy edges. Our dessert, frozen custard, is similar to ice cream, but is denser, richer, and creamier, due to a churning process that eliminates ice crystals and excess air. We make it fresh, onsite throughout the day.”
