Wichita Business Journal: Fast-growing Freddy’s opens 21 stores in 21 weeks

The growth of Wichita-based Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers continues at a rapid pace.

With the opening of three new restaurants last week, 21 new stores have been added to the system in the first 21 weeks of 2015.

A corporate-owned store opened in Kansas City, Mo. and franchise locations in Jacksonville and Caldwell, Idaho opened last week.

With those additions, Freddy’s — classified as a fast-casual restaurant — has 156 stores nationwide. Of that, 15 are corporate owned and the rest are franchised.
