GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – A new Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers opens on Tuesday, March 28, at 25 Lake Michigan Dr. NW. It marks a second Grand Rapids location for the fast-casual restaurant concept, which made its area debut early last year at 3777 Plainfield Ave. NE in front of Meijer.

“Our culture of hospitality sets us apart,” said Joe Reber, franchise owner. “Quality food that’s cooked to order is a plus, but it’s so much more enjoyable when the service is quality, too. Freddy’s strives to provide both.”

The 3,300 square-foot, freestanding location seats 102 guests and has additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service will also be available. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Freddy’s is known for its lean ground beef steakburgers, Vienna beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh throughout the day.

“We use a special churning process to craft our frozen custard,” said Reber. “It eliminates excess air and ice crystals, and creates a product that’s creamy, smooth, and in our opinion, tastier than ice cream. We offer several specialty frozen custard treats, including our popular Signature Turtle, or you can create your own special treat from a variety of different toppings and mix-ins.”
