ORLAND PARK, Ill. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers recently broke ground at 7402 W 159th St. near the intersection with Harlem Ave. The restaurant is slated to open early next year and is the first of several locations to be opened by the company in the Chicago Metro.
“We’ve been making plans for the Chicago area for quite some time and are excited to officially announce our first stop in the market. It is a vibrant city and we believe it will be a great place for us to grow in the coming years” said Randy Simon, CFO and Co-Founder. “The 159th St. retail corridor has a steady flow of traffic through the area and is home to a wide variety to retail businesses, restaurants and family-friendly entertainment venues. We look forward to opening our doors and serving guests the Freddy’s way.”
The 3,476 square-foot, free-standing restaurant will seat 106 guests and will have additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service will also be available. Freddy’s serves lean ground-beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh several times throughout the day.
“At Freddy’s we provide a fun and relaxed dining experience for guests,” said Simon. “Our Original Double combo meal comes with two steakburger patties pressed thin on a flat top grill and sprinkled with our famous seasoning. We top the patties with two slices of cheese, mustard, pickle planks and onion slices on a toasted bun and serve it with a heaping portion our shoestring fries and a drink.”
