GREAT BEND, Kan. – Wichita-based restaurant chain, Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers, will make its Great Bend debut on Sunday, Oct. 23, at 10th Street and Monroe. A ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 24. The United Way of Central Kansas will receive 10 percent of sales from all regular and large-size frozen custard treats sold through Nov. 23.
“Great Bend is a family-oriented community and a good fit for our family-friendly atmosphere,” said Nick Esterline, franchise owner. “We’re thankful for the warm welcome we’ve received and we look forward to joining the community.”
Developed by TGC Development Group, and operated by JRI Management, the 3,010 square-foot, franchise location seats 100 guests, and has additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
