BELTON, Mo. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers will open in Belton on Tuesday, August 23, at 1822 E. North Ave. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Co-founder, namesake and World War II veteran Freddy Simon, 91, plans to be in attendance for the ribbon-cutting event, and will stay onsite through the lunch hour to greet guests and sign autographs.

“We couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome from area residents and city officials,” said Randy Simon, co-founder and CFO. “Belton is a great match for our family-friendly concept and we look forward to joining the community.”

The 3,476 square-foot restaurant seats 100 guests with additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Menu items include lean ground beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs, and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is freshly churned throughout each day. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.

“If you haven’t heard, our menu features a couple of new items,” said Simon. “We added fried pickles as an appetizer or a side option; it’s quickly becoming a guest favorite. We also rolled out a jalapeño version of our signature fry sauce.”
